The Sajjāda nashīn, meaning successor or hereditary administrator of a Peer, typically performs the role of custodian at his shrine. They are often seen as the spiritual heir to the Sufi master, and are responsible for leading the ceremonies at the shrine and upholding the traditions of the master. They are respected in the community, and are consulted for spiritual guidance.
Syed Shah Mohammed Giyasuddin Quadri is a very simple and practical person who lives a simple life following the guidelines of his Peer Hazrat.
